Counting & Cracking traces a family epic over 50 years, from Colombo to Sydney

Counting and Cracking follows the journey of one Sri Lankan-Australian family over four generations and fifty years, from 1956 to 2004, tracing its emotional story of love and turmoil, of home and exile, of parents and children.. It features nineteen performers hailing from six different countries: Australia, Sri Lanka, India, Malaysia, New Zealand and France.

Performed in English, Tamil and Sinhalese, by a cast of 19 performers from six different countries, Counting and Cracking, written by renowned Australian Tamil theatre director and filmmaker S. Shakthidharan has just completed a short run at Edinburgh’s Royal Lyceum (Read reviews here and here)
